Welcome to our fifth season of Music in the Mountains!  Powder Mountain's annual chamber music festival, curated by Artistic Director Michelle Ross.  Join us at Arbor Lodge for our opening night.  Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. No tickets required.

This year’s first concert begins with a setting of P.B. Shelley’s “The Sunset,” Il Tramonto, by Ottorino Respighi for string quartet and voice. Paired with Osvaldo Golijov’s haunting Tenebrae for string quartet, and Dimitri Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8, this program explores the question of existence and the fragility of life, complemented by the exquisite and simple beauty of Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet.
